I arrived to this beautiful house on my second day in Sri Lanka in January 2015. For me it was exactly what I had been longing and dreaming of for months. The atmosphere, the architecture, the light, the surrounding, the air, the calmness. The Teak Shade filled me with energy and I’m already planning my next trip to Sri Lanka and off course I’m gonna stay at The Teak Shade.

My friends and I had a really nice stay in the house. Waking up to the sounds and smells of the exotic nature right outside seemed almost unreal. We ate breakfast on the roof terrace and enjoyed the warm, sunny weather, everything was so right. When I visit Sri Lanka next time I will definitely be returning to this gem that is hidden at higher altitudes in the Kandy jungle...
